The short version. Soigneur is built so that there is nothing to leak. Your health and training data is read on your device, analysed on your device, and stored on your device. There is no account, there is no server of ours for it to go to, and we cannot see it.
What the app reads
- Apple Health — only the categories you grant, which may include sleep and its stages, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, workouts and dietary entries. You choose these when you connect, and can change them at any time in Health → Sharing → Apps.
- Ride files you import — .FIT files you select yourself.
- Services you connect — if you link an account such as Wahoo, the app fetches your rides from it directly to your device.
- What you tell it — daily check-ins, and events such as illness or time off that you choose to record so your numbers can be read in context.
Where it goes
Nowhere. The analysis runs on the device. We operate no server that receives your health or training data, so there is no copy of it for us to hold, lose or be compelled to hand over.
What we will never do
- Sell your data, or share it with data brokers.
- Use health data for advertising or marketing — ours or anyone else’s.
- Put third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code in the app.
- Share your data with another person without you asking us to.
Apple’s rules for apps that read HealthKit require most of these. They are commitments we would make regardless.
Services you connect
When you link an account, the app is given a token that lets it read your data from that service. The token is stored on your device. Your data is fetched to your device and is not routed through us. Disconnecting a service removes its token and the data that came from it.
What that service does with your data is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.
Deleting your data
- All of it — delete the app. Everything it stored goes with it.
- Health access — revoke it in Health → Sharing → Apps.
- A connected service — disconnect it in Settings.
This website
- Hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to run and secure the service.
- No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels.
- No third-party requests at all. Fonts are served from this domain rather than a font CDN, precisely so that no one else is handed the IP address of everyone who visits.
- The page at
/oauth/wahooreceives an authorisation code when you connect an account and passes it to the app on your device. It sends that code nowhere else, keeps no record of it, and removes it from the address bar so it is not left behind in your browser history.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. It is worth being plain about what that means here: because we do not receive or store your health or training data, there is usually nothing of yours for us to produce or erase. If you email us, we will of course hold your message, and you can ask us to delete it.
Children
Soigneur is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes will also be surfaced in the app.
