Soigneur is in private testing and is not yet on the App Store. If you have a question, a problem or want to hear when it is released, email support@thesoigneur.app.
Why don’t my rides have power in Apple Health?
Because most platforms do not write it there. A ride synced to Apple Health by another app usually carries duration, distance and calories but no power and no heart-rate samples. That is a limitation of what those apps write, not of Health itself. Power comes from the ride file, which is why Soigneur imports .FIT.
How do I get my power data in?
Export the .FIT file from your head unit, trainer or platform, then open Settings → Ride files → Choose files. Every major device and service can produce one. Nothing needs connecting and no account is involved.
Why is there no five-second best for some rides?
Because that file cannot honestly answer the question. Some head units use “smart recording”, writing a data point every few seconds rather than every second. Rebuilding a second-by-second series from that does not recover the detail in between, so a five-second best calculated from it would describe the reconstruction rather than what you did. Soigneur works out how densely each file was recorded and leaves out the durations it cannot support, rather than showing you a number that looks precise and is not.
Why did a best effort change after an update?
Most likely because of how stopped time is handled. If your head unit auto-pauses at a junction, those minutes are not riding at zero watts — but they are not nothing either, because an effort cannot continue through a stop. Soigneur measures each best effort inside a single continuous stretch of riding. A twenty-minute best that previously spanned a coffee stop was never a twenty-minute effort, and the corrected figure is the honest one.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. It is read, analysed and stored on your device. There is no account and no server of ours. The privacy policy sets this out in full.
Something looks wrong
Tell us what you saw, what you expected, and roughly when the ride was. If it relates to a specific ride file, say which device recorded it. Reports that name a specific number that looks wrong are the most useful kind — the pause handling above was found exactly that way.
